My dell laptop is freezing when I am online uploading pictures

My screen is freezing when I am uploading pictures online.
I thought it was my browser, I mainly use Firefox and switched to Edge, which helped, but now it is freezing up when I upload pictures to Facebook and google.
I am thinking this is a computer problem and not a browser problem.
